Production: Docma-TV, Munich Author: Dr. Fritz Jantschke Broadcasted on Vox TV in 2002, 2003 and 2005
From 2002 until 2006 I´ve been a freelance cameraman for the german production company Docma TV, in purpose to contribute to the wildlife serial "Tierzeit", broadcasted on VOX Television. "Tierzeit" was widely popular in Germany and focused on relationships between wild animals and men. Several journeys took author Dr. Fritz Jantschke and me to remote locations: Ivory coast, Namibia, Oman, Sibiria, Indonesia and Thailand.
The
latter was, concerning wild animals, not on top of our list but
surprised us with a stunning story about the "King Cobra Club", situated
in Ban Khok Sa-Nga, a small village in Thailand's northeast province of
Khon Kaen. I was truly amazed how the two protagonists Kunchai and
Bualee Chai, always on the edge of seriously being bitten, did their
dance with the snake, three times a day. On any single day but Sunday...
